1. Can you briefly introduce yourself (who are you, where are you from, how do we find you on IG)?

Yuki: I’m Yuki, half Japanese/Thai and lived very much from Europe/ Asia/ Oceania. A Brand Designer by day, a sneaker lover by night and you can find me at @yukigraphics on instagram. You may know me from Diadora Talk, Afew Addicted, WOMFT, or even at releases when we used to go and line up 🙂

2. Since when do you collect shoes and why Asics?

Yuki: I’ve been collecting shoes since high school when I started working at several part-time jobs. However, it did not start with Asics. Asics back in Japanese were always connected to running shoes and sports shoes. Which I also used to use for running and playing baseball. I was aware of the other side of Asics until when Ronnie Fieg released some of his iconic Gel Lyte 3 collaborations. That’s when I started buying Asics Gel Lyte 3 and never stopped since. It’s not the collaboration that got me into buying Asics, but it was the comfort of the shoes when wearing them. It was something that was totally different from other brands which were something that I still remember to this day. Now my wife is also addicted to Gel Lyte 3 as well.

3. Your sneaker wall is on fire, which 3 shoes would you save?

Yuki: If Asics, I would have to say Asics Gel Lyte 3 “Veg tan”, Asics Gel Lyte 3 x AFEW “Koi”, Asics Gel Lyte 3 x Ronnie FIeg “Homage”

4. If you could change one thing in the sneaker game: What would it be?

Yuki: Buy what you like and not what social media says.

5. What is the best soft drink in the world?

Yuki: Currently, I’m addicted to Spezi.

6. Which current living person would you most like to meet?

Yuki: Shigeyuki Mitsui san – Creator of Gel Lyte 3

7. Dogs or cats?

Yuki: Dog but got 2 cats

8. Any final words for the community?

Yuki: It’s been a tough time for all of us in the sneaker game since the pandemic. The usual meet-ups that we used to have don’t happen much anymore but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s meet each other again soon at a sneaker event or even at a local bar 🙂 stay safe and keep doing what you love 🙂 See you in person soon!
